Morris
must wait on White in Worlds
Davy
is currently 64th in the
provisional world rankings and
will be hoping to remain there
come the end of the season.
One problem however is that
Jimmy White has the chance to
knock Davey out of the Top 64
should he win his next match
in the World Championship
Qualifiers on March 10th
against Mark King. Should
Davey however stay 64th it
means he will start all of
next season in the second
round of each qualifying event
and be guaranteed prize money
of around €8,000.

Morris breaks into the Top 64 for the first time
Davy has just broken into the provisional Top 64 after his superb display in the recent UK Championship qualifiers. The youngster had three superb
wins over Gareth Coppack, Stuart Pettman and Andrew Norman only to lose out on his first TV appearance after a 9-3 loss to David Harold. However the points earned by Davy has now put him into the safety zone for staying on
the tour and if he stays there will start all of next season in the second round of each qualifying event. View Results

Morris
loses out to Irish Champ
After
a superb run last season in
the Irish Professional
Championships where Davy beat
Colm Gilcreest and Joe Swail
on the way to the semi finals
Davy came back to earth with a
bump this time round. The
Kilkenny youngster who was
Irish Champion three times in
a row was defeated by the new
Irish Champion in Vinny
Muldoon from Galway. The 16
year old came back from 2-0
down to defeat Davy 5-2 in the
first round and earn a quarter
final match with Ken Doherty.
Aklthough Davy knocked in a
superb 102 in the second frame
he never got to grips with the
slow cloth on the night and
will have to wait until next
year for antoher chance.

wins Irish Classic
Davy
captured the Lucan Racing
Irish Classic title on Sunday
the 19th of August beating
fellow Irish Pro Fergal
O'Brien 5-3 in the final. The
eight pro tournament saw Davy
beat Rodney Goggins 4-2 and
then Patrick Wallace 5-3 to
reach the final where he then
beat the organizer of the
event coming back from 3-2
down to take the title.
It
was O'Brien who put the event
together and invited the other
